I have stayed several times in this hotel, and did like it all the time. In this occasion I had two problems though: I got the room on the ground floor (room 008) but as I stayed only 1 night and was really just sleeping in the room, the location was not an issue. The issue was, that at 6:00 a.m. someone ( I assume hotel personnel) was running up and down the corridoor, opening doors or doors of cupboards, making a relatively large noise that woke me up, when I desperately wanted to have a decent sleep that night... The other issue was probably due to the sudden warm weather: the grapefruir juice at breakfast had already a bad odour and taste. I never had any issue with the food served before.

I enjoyed my stay at GT Opera. Rooms are smart and well-maintained. Staff are helpful, pleasant and flexible. The bar area is simple but hospitable and the guest feels quite at home. I may have missed it (!) but it would be helpful to have detailed advice on how to reach the hotel in various ways from the airport. I took Roissybus, which meant a slightly complicated walk at the end, even for someone who knows Paris and speaks French. During my stay, the satellite TV was not operational. This led to inadequate coverage of international and good qualtiy channels. It would also add value to have movie channels or pay movies. It would be useful if the hotel had a DVD player available for loan. The lift is slow!

Good location, close to Opera transport hub (very easy to go to the CDG airport) and famous department stores. Elevator and rooms very small, even by Parisian standards. Definitely not a 4-star hotel, just a very decent 3-star one. Reception quite average, except for Ridah. Not really customer-oriented. All in all, at the low season price acceptable, but would never pay a high season price for that. And please update your website, as it contains plenty of errors (i.e. times of check-in/-out, availability of free Wi-Fi, smoking rooms...)

The hotel is very well situated in a very safe area, close to Metro and a good starting point for various sights of Paris, for e.g. Grand Magazines are only few minutes walk from the hotel. Service was nice and staff were helpful. The hotel is also nicely decorated. Size of the room was o.k. as opposed to the size of the elevator, but that was not so important to us. We were very happy with the value we got for money. However, I have to mention we used "stay more, pay less" option. We also had breakfast outside the hotel , which was o.k., but maybe it is more convenient to eat your breakfast at the hotel although it is relatively highly priced (15 Eur/pp). I will definitely check with Golden Tulip hotels when I travel next time.
